Web Accessibility for Online Educators – Part I
What you need to know about Web Accessibility and Why
This hands-on workshop will focus on how eLearning professionals can address the accessibility issues with their online classes and services. Our workshop leader, Karen Sorensen is the Accessibility Advocate for Online Courses at Portland Community College in Oregon. She is also the instructor of the Web Accessibility MOOC for Online Educators (WAMOE). We will be looking at what ‘web accessbility means’ and working on how to create accessible images, diagrams, charts, PowerPoints, webpages, PDFs, and a few more…including accessible audio, video and HTML content for online courses.
