Research shows that a student’s sense of belonging is a key factor in educational success. In this interactive workshop series, we will look at how to cultivate student belonging by establishing and promoting classroom community. Through a series of individual and breakout group activities, we will discuss the challenges of building community in an online environment, and share best practices to overcome these barriers. We will also identify opportunities for community building that only an online format can afford.
Part Two – we will continue the conversation and examine how we can help students build relationships that support one another.
